Most Nigerian female artists’ managers are their boyfriends – Rapper Magnito claims
Popular rapper, Mohammed Usman Adamu, aka Magnito, has said “most successful female artists” in Nigeria are being managed by their boyfriends.
He claimed it has become a trend in the Nigerian music industry, but fans are not aware because such female artists keep their relationships private.
The ‘Canada’ crooner spoke in the latest episode of the Terms And Conditions podcast.
Magnito said, “Most of the successful female artists you see, the person managing them is their boyfriend. They might not put it in the public. But most of them… Call any name.”
His claim elicited mixed reactions on social media, with many concurring with him while others berated him for “generalising”.
