Joeboy announces exit from Empawa Music, launches own label, Young Legend

Nigerian singer, Joseph Akinfenwa Donus, popularly known as Joeboy, has parted ways with Empawa Music, which is owned by Mr Eazi.
The singer signed a dual deal with global music giant, Warner Music. The dual deal sees Joeboy launch his record label called Young Legend as well as being Warner Music’s latest flagship artist.
Sharing a ritual-themed clip announcing the launch of his record label via X, Joeboy wrote: “Dawn of a new era. Young Legend is alive.”
DAILY POST recalls that Joeboy joined Empawa Music five years ago and gained prominence with the release of his hit single, ‘Baby.’
He was nominated for the Next Rated category at the 2019 Headies Awards but lost to Rema.
